…Commissions Senatorial Secretariat In Ogun-East
A political group in Ogun State, Caucus 7202 (The Coalition), on Tuesday endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election, Governor Dapo Abiodun for the Ogun East Senatorial seat, and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) for Governor of Ogun State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group, through its Director General, passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu’s administration, insisting that the President deserves a second term in office based on his achievements.
Speaking at the event, the Director General of Caucus 7202, Hon. Olaseni Koiki, said the endorsement was a result of the President’s laudable projects and policies, which he noted have had a direct impact on the lives of Nigerians. He cited achievements in agriculture, education, infrastructure, security and the economy, among others.
The endorsement ceremony followed the commissioning of the group’s senatorial secretariat located along Moborode Street, Ijebu-Ode. Activities later shifted to Adeola Odutola Event Hall, where APC leaders and members from across Ogun East Senatorial District gathered to formally endorse President Tinubu, Governor Abiodun and Senator Adeola.
According to Hon. Koiki, the gathering was convened to harmonise positions ahead of party primaries and present what the group described as the best choices to the public.
“President Tinubu has done a lot and is still doing his best. He deserves a second term to enable him to continue the good work he has been doing for Nigerians. We must continue to mobilise and drum up support for his re-election in the interest of national development,” he said.
He further explained the importance of the Ogun East Senatorial seat and the governorship to APC stakeholders in the district, stating that Governor Abiodun is best suited for the Senate, while Senator Adeola is the most qualified to govern the state.
“I have no doubt that Prince Dapo Abiodun’s years as Governor of Ogun State have prepared him to effectively deliver dividends of democracy to Ogun East if given the opportunity to serve in the Senate,” Koiki said.
On Senator Adeola, he described him as a proven performer whose impacts are evident both in Ogun West Senatorial District and across the state.
“Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, has demonstrated capacity, commitment and leadership. He is widely known for his contributions and service to Ogun State, and we have no regret in supporting him at all levels,” he added.
Other speakers at the gathering, including Hon. Dr. Samuel Adejare, Otunba Adewale Oshinubi (Chairman, Wesco Lotto), and several party leaders, also jointly endorsed the candidates, urging members to remain committed and united ahead of the 2027 elections.
Dr. Adejare said members must follow party leadership and direction, expressing confidence that President Tinubu would secure a second term, Governor Abiodun would succeed in his senatorial bid, and Senator Adeola would emerge Governor of Ogun State.
“This is my stand and my assurance that remaining steadfast will give us the opportunity to work together and benefit more when given the chance to serve,” he said.
The event was attended by numerous APC members and party chieftains from Ogun East Senatorial District, including the Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Local Govt. & Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Razaq Daddah, former Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Kunle Otun, former House of Reps member, Hon. Deko Onamusi, former Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, Hon. Emilola Gazal, Otunba Adewale Oshinubi and former Commissioner for Sports/ Wealth Creation & Tourism in Lagos State, Hon. Uzamat Akinbile Yusuf among others.
Caucus 7202 is a progressive political group with membership drive of over 300,000 and has 1,500 subgroups across the 20LGs of Ogun State.
