The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI, CON, FCA, has assured the people of Remoland that his administration will pursue balanced development and govern without favouring one section of the state over another.
Adeola gave the assurance during a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, CFR, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, and members of the Remo Traditional Council at the Akarigbo Palace in Sagamu.
He was accompanied by Governor Dapo Abiodun; his running mate, Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun; APC leaders, candidates and supporters.
Adeola said he was seeking to govern the whole of Ogun State rather than any particular senatorial district, promising that no community would be neglected or developed at the expense of another.
He commended Governor Abiodun for laying a strong infrastructural and economic foundation through visible projects such as roads, schools and healthcare facilities, as well as strategic initiatives capable of creating long-term economic opportunities.
The senator identified the Gateway International Airport and other major projects as critical investments whose full economic benefits would become more evident in the coming years.
Adeola said Ogun State needed an experienced successor who understood the administration’s development plan and could consolidate its gains without abandoning ongoing projects or wasting time studying the structure of government.
He assured the traditional rulers that he possessed the experience, capacity and necessary relationships to advance the state’s development and deliver the dividends of democracy to communities across its three senatorial districts.
As part of his support for the traditional institution, Adeola donated a 30-seater bus to the Remo Traditional Council to facilitate the official engagements and responsibilities of its members.
The monarchs commended Adeola for interventions already facilitated in Remoland despite representing Ogun West in the Senate.
The Elepe praised his contributions to communities in the area and recalled his support for the Gateway International Airport project at the National Assembly, while the Alaye-Ode appreciated him for providing streetlights in Ode-Remo without being approached.
The traditional rulers urged Adeola to remain committed to the entire state and continue from where the Abiodun administration would stop.
In his remarks, the Akarigbo described Adeola as consistent, organised and supportive of the traditional council. He thanked him for his continued engagement with Remoland and prayed that God would crown his efforts with success.
The monarchs later offered special royal prayers for Adeola and his running mate, Adegunwa-Balogun, praying for a peaceful campaign and victory in the 2027 governorship election.
