
The Executive Director of Finance, South West Development Commission, and Wazir Musulumi Akile Ijebu, Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi has expressed condolences on the passing of the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, who joined his ancestors on Sunday.
Ogunjobi in a statement released said he was saddened by the news of the monarch’s death, adding that the late Oba Adetona served the people of Ijebu and the State as a custodian of the people’s culture and tradition.
While expressing condolences to the family of the late traditional ruler, friends, associates and the entire people of Ijebuland, Ogunjobi said Oba Adetona will be remembered for his wise counsel and sundry contributions to the development of Ijebuland, Ogun State and the Nation at large having lived a fulfilled life and left worthy legacy of selfless service through his invaluable contributions to the development of Ijebuland.
He further applauded the deceased Royal Father for the peace, tranquility and development that was witnessed in Ijebuland under his reign, noting that the development has created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.
The Wazir Musulumi therefore prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the late Royal Father eternal rest, and urged the family and people of Ijebuland to join him in prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul.
