It was a rousing welcome for City businessman and the Bamesho of Egbe Bobamaiyegun Okunrin Akile Ijebu, Hon Adeleke Kuye has he declared his ambition to contest the Chairmanship seat of Ijebu Ode Local Government.
Hon. Kuye made known his intention on Tuesday when he visited the party secretariat in Ijebu Ode.
While receiving the aspirant and his entourage, the APC party Chairman in Ijebu Ode Local Government, Alhaji Surajudeen Logere said Hon Kuye has come to add quality, excellence and class to the Chairmanship race.
He described the youthful aspirant as a visionary, resourceful and a thoroughbred grassroots politician who is well known to all and sundry in Ijebu Ode Local Government Area.
Going back to the memory lane, the party Chairman disclosed that Hon Kuye has over the years identified with the yearnings and need of the people, adding that if he is eventually elected, Ijebu Ode will witness a rapid development.
“Hon Kuye, you have a remarkable antecedent which earned you the respect and class among our people today. Without sounding immodest, Hon Leke Kuye, you deserve to be the next Ijebu Ode Local Government Chairman”, he concluded.
Meanwhile, Hon Kuye while addressing the party faithful and exco members, promised to operate an open door policy in a bid to welcome divergent but key agendas for the benefit of the people of Ijebu Ode.
He promised to serve the local government in line with his blueprint which was painstakingly designed to turnaround things in the council area.
Speaking further, Kuye said he intended to serve in order to complement the good work of Governor Dapo Abiodun who according to him has performed excellently in developing the state.
“I have always been interested in serving the masses of the people with the knowledge and experience that it has pleased the Almighty God to endow me with. Also, my resolve to serve the people and community at large is borne out of my desire to complement the good work of our performing governor, the architect of modern Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun.” Kuye stated.
