Citizens of Eritrea<\/a> residing in the German city of Karlsruhe celebrated the 31st anniversary of Independence Day with patriotic fervor under the slogan \u201cIndependent Election: Backbone of Our Pride\u201d.<\/a>
The celebration event was highlighted by cultural and artistic performances.<\/a>
According to the report, in the last two years, the celebration of Independence Day was held virtually due to the COVID<\/a>-19 pandemic and this year 150 compatriots participated in person in the celebration act.<\/a>
Noting that Eritrea<\/a>‘s Independence was realized and safeguarded by the great sacrifice of its citizens, Mr. Tekle Feshaye<\/a>, chairman of the national committee in Karlsruhe, said that celebrating Independence Day has a strong meaning and flavor.<\/a>
Mr. Tekle also congratulated the Eritrea<\/a>n people inside and outside the country.<\/a>
Similarly, citizens residing in Dammam, in eastern Saudi Arabia<\/a>, celebrated the 31st anniversary of Independence Day with patriotic fervour.<\/a>
Speaking at the event, Ms. Weini Gerezgihier, Charg\u00e9 d’Affaires of the Embassy of Eritrea<\/a>, said that the Government of Eritrea<\/a>, following an independent political election, is working tirelessly to build a prosperous country with strong citizen participation.<\/a>
Noting that Eritrea<\/a>‘s success story in containing the spread of the COVID<\/a>-19 pandemic attests to the strong unity bet<\/a>ween the Government and the people of Eritrea<\/a>, Mr. Gebremeskel Kidane<\/a>, President of the Eritrea<\/a>n Community, called for strengthening participation and contribution for a better result
