{"id":3452,"date":"2025-03-12T08:13:27","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T08:13:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/citywatch.ng\/?p=3452"},"modified":"2025-03-12T08:13:27","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T08:13:27","slug":"3452-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citywatch.ng\/?p=3452","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal Government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recalled the Nigeria&#8217;s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Sarafa Tunji Isola,<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">a significant change in Nigeria\u2019s diplomatic front under President Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n<div class=\"adredux after-para-one aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"adbox\">\n<div class=\"JC-WIDGET-DMROOT\" data-widget-id=\"ca69f5950aba1bbefee2c18f61cc5289\" data-load=\"true\" data-id=\"1693637710697\">\n<div id=\"ac_ca69f5950aba1bbefee2c18f61cc5289\" class=\"jb-w-mobile\" data-id=\"acjb_ca69f5950aba1bbefee2c18f61cc5289\" data-divid=\"acjb_1693637710697\">\n<div class=\"jb-w-r-s-row jb-w-mobile\">\n<div class=\"jb-w-r-s-columns jb-w-r-s-col-12 jb-ac_header-title-container jb-w-mobile\">\n<div class=\"ac_header_title jb-w-mobile\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In the letter of his recall signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar dated 31st August, 2023, the recalled ambassador is asked to report back to Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The letter reads: \u201cI have the honour to notify you of Mr. President\u2019s decision to recall you, signaling the end of your tenure as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to theUnited Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018By this communication, you are now expected to commence the propose of winding down your affairs, and take formal leave of your host government within sixty days and to return to Nigeria by 31st October, 2023 at the latest.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I seize this opportunity to express Mr. President\u2019s appreciation for the service you have rendered in your capacity as Nigeria\u2019s Ambassador and Principal Representative in United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018While looking forward to welcoming you in Abuja on your return, please allow me to join Mr. President in thanking your Excellency for your exemplary leadership and service to Nigeria.
